The Green Republic Project and the Leader of the Shai Muslim Community in Tamale Shielk Abdul-Mumin Dalhu are to Collaborate to plant 3000 trees as part of 2019 activities Maulidin Nabi Celebrations.
Speaking at the official Launch of the Dalhu Greening Project, the top Muslim Cleric underscored the critical need for all to actively get involved in the fight against climate change and global warming saying it was a matter of life and death which needed urgent and concerted effort to overcome.
Shiekh Dalhu charged members of the Shia Muslim Community and other religious leaders to lead their members in taking action by planting trees as a natural remedy. He expressed joy for collaborating with the Green Republic Project to plant 3000 trees in the coming days.
On his part the National Coordinator of The Green Republic Project, Abdul Latif-Alhassan called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the call by The Green Republic Project for the setting up of a National Tree Planting Day as a creative and radical approach at reforesting Ghana to serve as a natural remedy in the Climate fight.
He was full of praise for the Muslim Cleric and urged other religious leaders to lead their followers on similar projects to help save the planet.
He indicated the Green Republic Project's readiness to partner other groups and organizations to wage a relentless war against climate change.
